About Bulaklak Tribe
Started in May 2006, Bulaklak is America's Favorite Gal-circle! Events for Bulaklak Event Team are centered in Dallas, TX, but extend throughout the United States to accommodate our broad membership. Members are selected during rare initiation periods and are required to travel, participate in events, learn Para Para, and represent Gyaru style. Bulaklak's main focus is Gyaru style but events have involved hip hop & dance music, modeling, and Para Para dancing.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Gal Circle?
A Gal Circle (Gyarusa, Galcir) is a group of people that participate in the Japanese subculture, "Gyaru." There are two main types of Gal Circles:
Nago circles, meaning "comfort circles," are groups of friends that simply hang out and do the style together. This type of circle does not have an application process and would only accept people that all members frequently interact with in person.
Ive circles, meaning "event circles," are groups of people that host events for other people in gyaru culture and para para to attend. Ive circles are Party Promoters. Event circles are easily compared to American Fraternities and Sororities (Application process, events to host, events to attend, the idea of a strong brotherhood/sisterhood, etc.)
What is Bulaklak Tribe?
Bulaklak Tribe is an International event circle, based in the USA. While the goals of Japanese Ive Circles are about continuing to enrich the lives of Japanese gyaru, Bulaklak has established the unique goal of building and supporting gyaru culture around the world. Events hosted by Bulaklak Tribe are typically weekend-long gatherings that allow gyaru, worldwide, to interact and make friends with similar interests.
It's important for an event circle to have members that communicate clearly and with confidence. When Bulaklak hosts events; the tribe's job is to advertise, acquire copyrights, work with lawyers on issues of liability, and, of course, purchase equipment for the event. When maintaining correspondence with businesses (record labels, nightclubs, or even anime conventions) members are required to communicate effectively and represent Bulaklak Tribe positively at all times.
Event circles in Japan have the same processes to complete and also take applications for membership.
Why is Bulaklak an International Circle?
As an event circle, our main goal is to spread gal culture and to bring western gals together in hopes of making the culture grow. Bulaklak Tribe is internationally recognized in Gal culture.
Many of our existing, USA members are studying abroad. Overseas, these members would continue to be representatives of Bulaklak Tribe. It is fair to induct members that are capable of visiting the US or we are likely to meet in our own travels.
These international members are the start to global chapters. They gather people that love Gal culture. In the Bulaklak tradition, they will host events for other gyaru around the world. This is not a virtual endeavour, but a solid and worthy venture that will allow Japan to see it's influence around the globe.
Why apply for membership?
Bulaklak Tribe asks that interested persons apply for membership so that we have the opportunity to know who's interested, contact the people that are interested, and make a decision for membership based on multiple interactions. The application process includes completing a simple form on the website, participating in a phone interview, allowing contact from all members for a period of time, learning the goals and responsibilities of a Bulaklak Tribe member, and making a good impression during a face-to-face meeting with at least one member of Bulaklak Tribe.
If an applicant can't convey their personality through one medium (such as text), Bulaklak allows them opportunities to communicate in various ways (verbally, through images, in person). This assures members that they are doing everything possible to give each applicant a fair chance for membership.
